Salzburg from above

The fortress Hohensalzburg is the landmark of the city. Go on a hike there! Also from the viewpoint on Mönchsberg you have a magnificent view over Salzburg. If you do not want to walk, you can also climb the mountain with a lift.

Salzburg Festival

Since 1920, the Salzburg Festival takes place annually in Salzburg in summer. The most well-known is the performance of "Jedermann" on the cathedral square. But many other events such as Mozart and Strauss performances as well as a diverse spectacle, opera and concert program attract many guests.

Mozarts birth place

On 27 January 1756 Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, who lived in Salzburg for more than 26 years, was born on Getreidegasse. Mozart's birthplace is now publicly accessible as a museum.

Classic music in Salzburg

Friends of classical music get their money's worth at the Salzburg Palace Concerts, the concerts at the fortress Hohensalzburg or the organ at noon.
